Core Proficiencies
Challenge AGAIN. Resolve before construction.
Design Management
Strategic design management is about protecting design intent while maintaining technical, programme and financial discipline. The objective is not to generate more design; it is to ensure the design is coordinated, compliant, buildable and understood. We provide independent oversight throughout the design and delivery process, interrogating information, identifying risk and resolving gaps and interfaces before they become costly problems on site. This ensures the original vision translates into a tangible, buildable reality without unnecessary compromise.
Drawing on 25 years’ experience across Workplace, Higher Education, Retail, Leisure and Specialist design and project delivery, we bring practical delivery knowledge to every stage of the process. Our support includes design management, programme and deliverables management, design team coordination, design and compliance reviews, buildability and interface reviews, tender-stage design interrogation, and contractor and design-team liaison. By bringing design, technical and delivery requirements together, we create clarity, maintain momentum and enable better-informed decisions—protecting quality while managing cost, programme and risk.
Sustainability Built In
Sustainable design and construction practices are at the heart of everything we do. Whether a project has defined environmental targets or there is simply an ambition to make design and delivery more responsible, we provide practical advice that turns sustainability objectives into achievable decisions. Our approach starts with understanding what already exists—identifying opportunities for retention, adaptation and reuse before introducing new materials or interventions. By challenging what is genuinely necessary, we can reduce embodied carbon, minimise waste and extend the useful life of existing assets.
We support informed specification based on environmental impact, durability, adaptability and whole-life performance. We look for opportunities to use materials more efficiently, reduce construction waste and simplify how projects are assembled. Designing for future change is equally important: considering adaptability, disassembly and deconstruction allows components and materials to be recovered, reused or repurposed rather than becoming waste. The result is a pragmatic approach to sustainability that balances environmental responsibility with design quality, buildability, cost and long-term asset value.
Flexible Project Delivery Support
We provide flexible design and design management support that can be tailored to the needs of each project, from tender through to construction and completion. At tender stage, this can include reviewing tender information, identifying design risks and opportunities, and developing clear design and design management content for inclusion within the submission. We can also support tender interviews, providing the design expertise needed to communicate the proposed approach, demonstrate an understanding of key project challenges and give clients confidence in how the design will be managed through delivery.
As projects progress, our support can flex to address specific gaps in design resource or technical information. This can include developing Stage 3 information into coordinated Stage 4 drawings, producing scoping and enabling drawings, coordinated reflected ceiling plans and other targeted design packages required to support procurement and construction. We can remain involved through delivery to resolve design issues, coordinate information and capture changes, including the preparation of accurate as-built drawings. This flexible approach allows design resource to be deployed where and when it adds most value, maintaining design intent while supporting an efficient, coordinated and buildable outcome.
Use AGAIN. Sustainability that survives construction.
Think AGAIN. Turn strategic thinking into a delivery story.
SKArating

SKArating was launched in 2009 as a fit-out specific assessment method. It has been developed to be flexible and easy to understand, with schemes applicable to Offices, Retail and Higher Education projects. SKArating assesses fit-out projects against a set of sustainability good practice criteria. Projects can achieve a Gold, Silver or Bronze rating.
SKArating is recognised by GRSEB as an approved way for real estate to demonstrate its sustainability credentials.
